Happiness is a skill: Emotions - Spring 2022 online course


Have you ever said too much—or too little—influenced by a strong emotion and regretted it later? Do you get triggered again and again by the same situation? Can’t you let go of or forgive something that happened years ago?

All those and many other are the shades of emotions. In 2022, Happiness is a skill, I will focus mainly on the wide and exciting field of human feelings and emotions. My wish is that you get aware of your different emotional states and understand their underlying mechanism, learn to handle them wisely, and gain the freedom to react in a smart and skillful way when they appear.


Join me for my 9-week live online course. Starting February 15, 2022, we will meet in a group every week at 6 pm CET for a 90-minute session. Course price 290 EUR.


We will create a safe and inspiring space for everyone to share, reflect, and grow together. You will have the chance to learn and try out new tools to master your emotions. You will see how feelings influence your daily life and your relationships.

I will teach you 4 possible ways to consciously react when difficult emotions arise. How you can shift your state of mind and how you can understand emotions as wise leaders. To achieve these goals, we will be using techniques like, journaling, self-observation, introspection, intention setting, listening, reframing, integrating polarities and meditation.

In between sessions you will observe your different emotional states of mind and behaviors, and apply what you have learned. With 10 -20 minutes of practice a day, you will be on the path to make a real progress over the time of the course.

In this 9-week interactive course, you will:

  • Learn about the nature of emotions.

  • Learn 4 ways how to handle emotions wisely.

  • Get familiar with challenging emotions.

  • Learn how to handle difficult emotions like anger, confusion, attachment, jealousy in a skillful way.

  • Learn to let go and shift to pleasant states of mind like being peaceful, confident, and inspired.

  • Enjoy and use the emotional energy rather than suppress your emotions.

  • Meditate each week.

  • Grow in a group of peers for exchange and motivation.

  • Get exercises during the week to deepen your learnings.

CATY HARTUNG is an integral Buddhist coach, drawing from a unique 35-year background in Buddhism and her rich life experience as a world traveler. She has trained as an Integral Facilitator with Diane Musho Hamilton and is certified as an Integral Coach by Integral Coaching Canada.

Caty accompanies leaders in their conscious change process and human development and helps organizations to grow and implement their vision. She is meditating under the guidance of the 17th Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje.
