Happiness is a skill

Have you ever wished to change your current state of mind, in essence to flip a magical coin?

There are ways to switch the lens through which we see the world and the people around us. During the Happiness is a Skill course, you will learn how to become more conscious, joyful and happy.

Join me for this 9-week online course, where you will learn to grow, connect and reflect to bring more joy into your life. We meet weekly for 90-minutes beginning October 5, 2021 at 7pm CET.

My idea is to bring people together, where everyone is invited and feels safe to share, reflect and mirror their experiences. You will have the chance to learn, try out new tools to handle different kinds of emotions and be taught how to notice patterns in your behaviour. We will look at how you connect with others, communicate and behave in your relationships, and ultimately how to shift your gaze and awareness into more happy states like being inspired, courageous and more deeply connected to others. To achieve these goals we will be using techniques like, journaling, self-observation, introspection, intention setting, listening and reframing.

Additionally, you will learn how to use meditation to let go of your difficult emotions and fixed ideas. There is no need for you to have previous experience with meditation and you are very welcome if you have. Especially if you are “stuck“ in your meditation practice, you will find new gems.

From one session to the next, you will meditate, observe your different states of mind and behaviors and apply what you have learned.  With 10 minutes of practice a day, you are likely to make real progress over the time of the course.

In this course, we will explore:

  • How to open up to the constant changes we face

  • How to let go and shift to pleasant states of mind like being cheerful, free, peaceful and confident

  • How to calm down your nervous system and make it more resilient

  • How to handle difficult emotions like anger, fear, or jealousy in a skillful way

  • How to become more aware of myself and my communication with others

  • How to understand the power of polarities

  • How to meditate

A special addition will be the visit of the renowned Zen teacher Diane Musho Hamilton who will join us as a guest speaker during one session of the course.
